As Mahatma Ghandi once wrote,
I eat to live, to serve, and also, if it so happens, to enjoy, but I do not eat for the sake of enjoyment.
Most of us grew up eating for enjoyment. Unfortunately, for many, eating purely for enjoyment is only temporary. And when eating only for enjoyment fails you and your health, you start to see it in a different light.
We have long been failed by the modern food system, and many struck with countless illness at least in part because of it. That’s led to what can only be described as a wake-up call. It’s led to us learning to eat food as medicine.
We’ve had to learn to take Hippocrates seriously, when he says “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
We believe that eating well is a key ingredient to achieving overall health, and we want to share with you everything we’ve learned throughout our own battles with illness and our broader hopes to thrive, not just survive.
Let’s learn to thrive well, together.
